I love bossa nova, and if I could play just one style , this would be it!

As far as percussion , I wouldn’t change a thing. Bossa nova is all about sophistication and subtleties. Percussion is like spice. If you don’t have enough your food is bland if you have too much you can ruin the meal. In this case I think the drummer got it just right. I love the brush and stick combination that he did. That was so smooth and flowing and I’m afraid extra percussion would cover up those smooth drumming intricacies.

I really love the ensemble and wouldn’t change anything , but it would be interesting to hear a nylon string guitar too. Anyways thanks for turning me on to this great group!
