Not 100% sure (away from my rig atm), but this MIGHT make sure all LWR sounds come in at the same octave. You may have noticed some sounds default octave is higher or lower than standard (to place the usable range more squarely on the keyboard).

Check to see if enabling this defeats those default transpositions…
