I think that a classic tends to be something supplanted by technological improvement that upon further reflection turns out to SOUND better than the replacements, no matter the convenience of the replacement.

Sadly, none of our arrangers really fall into that category. Pretty much the latest are the best ever. But vintage synths, handwired masterpieces of sonic deliciousness, they’ve never been bettered by digital chips. And the build quality of modern Chinese produced mass market keyboards doesn’t even get up to 90’s standards, IMHO...

I somehow have my doubts that any arranger will become a ‘classic’!
