OK, I understand why you would want to do this....

The answer to your question is YES, it can be done (behind the scenes as you say) ! It's a bit of a 'Faff-On' but basically you would load the MIDI file into the KN7000 sequencer and then transpose just the Intro measures to the desired key and then re-save it as a MIDI file for further use.
I don't have time just now to write the full procedure, but if you give me a day or two I'll do it for you, if you wish.......
