Bernie,

I am not going to cover Audya as well. This keyboard though reputedly the best is hardly selling anymore and I wanted to concentrate on the SD series with touchscreen.
Yes there are quite a number of anomalies in exchanging Registrations but so far not many seem to be aware of the fact that by merely butting in and offering your Registrations , you have nothing to loose and possibly a lot to gain.

Ian,

Actually the situation is as follows. The SD7 and SD9 and their modules are unique in the fact that they also save the style that has been used in the REgistration. This means that even those who have not got that style on their keyboard ( SDD disk) will get the registration with the correct style !!!
YOu are partly right however about the righthand user sounds.
Generally if user sounds have been created with the onboard sounds and samples they will be correctly saved and rendered as well. If user sounds relate to commercial and protected samples for instance Ajamsonic it becomes a different story but then then cannot be rendered correctly anyway. Two observations on the righthand sounds:
1
It is by no means my intentions to gather commercial sounds and exchange them, should this be possible at all.
2
Most SD players have already created a VoiceLIST of approx. 32 favourite righthand sounds which can be selected at the touch of a button. Hence it is not all that important that the righthand sounds are rendered correctly in the many Registrations that you are bound to receive once you decide to participate in " pooling your resources ".

Finally, as there seem to be problems interchanging SD7/40 Registrations with SD9/90 Registrations and owning an SD9 myself I will from now on concentrate on the SD9/90. Nevertheless I will welcome all SD7/40 Registrations and share them with other SD7/40 owners. So DO JOIN IN please !!!!

regards
John
