A most interesting solution. If I understand correctly, I can plug in a power strip and power all my music gear with an inverter and a battery. That being the case, it comes down to capacity of both.

In addition to the music equipment,I am looking at a quieter alternative to my old Coleman Powermate 5000 loud generator,as hurricane season is here. I can get by with a few lights,fan,computer,tv,and microwave. Any surge appliances aren't absolutely necessary.

I have a running and surge wattage chart of common appliances. Maybe, I could buy two different sized batteries; small for the music,and larger for the house,with a larger inverter.
