I made a very long response last night, but have postponed posting it until I re-read it. I don't disagree with anyone and I'm grateful to Steve and Earl for another viewpoint. My response rambled quite a bit and it probably would have only interested a few of us. But it pretty much echo what most of us are saying--there is no ONE way to use an arranger.
