I think you are a bit over-sensitive here... It's because this type of song invites (the elderly) to sing along, which they can't in Dutch except they are either from Holland or from the Netherlands or Vlaanderen - It is a bit unfair of course that this rarely happens with English songs, as so many can sing along in English, but shit happens...
