I bought a Special-T ValuLift desk, at a local-to-me office furniture dealer for about $700.

I checked out the Special-T ValuLift frame. It looks nice but the total lifting capacity is only 220 LB. The frame I bought the other day can lift upto 480 LB. My solid wood desktop alone could be 100 LBS, 88 key controller on a sliding drawer tray, monitor speakers, modules, and etc. If anyone is considering doing something similar, the Uplift V2 Standing Desk frame at $500 (350 LBS lifting capacity) would make a good choice, too.
