He's the reason why I decided to play the organ. I never was able to afford a Vox Continental organ at the time. I had to settle for a Farfisa Compact Duo.... "In A Gadda-Da-Vida" instead. I learned both tunes by heart.

I always preferred the Wurlitzer electric pianos over the Fender Rhodes.... Donny Hathaway. "Riders On The Storm" did sound better on a Rhodes. The Wurly keyboard action was much more comfortable and easy to play.

Now we can experience all four different models in one keyboard or software synth. For a fraction of the price as well. Not to mention not having to cart around a Hammond B-3 and Leslie 122.

I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were referring to the anniversary of his death rather than current events.

I do miss a great musician tho.... Thanks for the stroll down memory lane.
