I recently purchased two Alexia Dots and The 8-inch Alexa Echo Show, mainly for safety reasons. Knowing I am on the slippery end of borrowed time because of my lungs condition, I decided to purchase these, place one in the bathroom, one in the basement family room and the show in the kitchen and named them appropriately. If my wife had to make an emergency call after my passing, she can do this easily with these devices. Recently, she fell in the shower, and while I was downstairs in the family room, I could not hear her yelling for me because I was playing the keyboard and had headphones on. After about 10 minutes, I took off the headphones and barely heard he yelling for help. Fortunately, she was not hurt, but I could not life her from the shower floor. After a few minutes, I called 911 and the EMT medics came and got her off the floor and into her wheel chair. I was a bit embarrassing for her, but no injuries and they went on their merry way.

This morning, when I climbed into the shower, said "Alexa, play me some Jimmy Buffett music." Damn, that was wonderful to hear all those wonderful songs while taking a shower, shaving and brushing my teeth. I heard songs I had never heard him perform and loved them. Alexa is a wonderful device and the price is right. Click here to see devices What is truly amazing is the sound quality from these tiny speakers. Great high end, lots of bottom end, excellent clarity.

Now, I know there are devices that you can wear around your neck or wrist to call for help, but these come at a steep price, depending on the service you order. Well, Alexa does have a monthly fee, and the devices are sensitive enough to work efficiently from 30 feet away if needed.

I'm in love! smile
