Although Peter Bartmaans is a great player, the average person could not mimic most of his playing. I apply more of Michael Voncken's techniques and songs to my own performances. (except for the Schlager material).

Exactly right. Voncken was doing what most people who have an arranger want to do and believe they could pull off (whether they actually could or not) . They admire Bartmaans but most can never perform at that level.


Personally I always thought Martin Harris is better
then both of them..
