Al, Donny...Same reason there are 2 keyboards on an organ: on a 61 arranger it is too darn cramped in the chords area, and also I want a split point area for RH 3 voice on the lower....for orchestral songs. Also it is much easier to play chords on a lower keyboard, your L hand is in a much more comfortable area.
