I have done much research and I agree that Ketron has the best sound in regards to what matters the most to me-drums and rhythm instruments for backing. That said, I am not playing out right now so I am going to stick with what I have for now. If my situation changes and I decide to go back out, I will probably go with an SD-40. Regarding the problems that some of the top players here had with Ketron, I think these were due to the fact that the "bugs" were not yet ironed out, but they now are. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Ketron product if and when I need one.
