In my younger years I had the shingles.....a totally unpleasant experience. My brother-in-law recently had a bought with shingles (upper left quadrant) that was mis-diagnosed and he has lost the hearing in his left ear.

I had the first version of the Shingles shot when I turned 60. I just got the first shot of version 2 and will get the second shot in 4 months. I've had no side affects from either shot.

I got the "swine" flu shot when it was first released. I had to get a second shot to help stop the "squealing" from the first one.

I do get an annual flu shot. I guess I'm just a sucker for anything that is new on the market. So goes with my musical gear as well. I've preordered the new Yamaha PSR-SX900.
