Maybe you also have pianist mode turned on accidentally, instead of fingered, and perhaps your split point is in the wrong place (press the split point button a few times to try different positions, you will see the lights change each time you press it).

I think a few minutes experimenting will be worth it.

Even if you decide to still sell it, at least you will know that it is working.
