The E80 never achieved the standing of the G70 as it couldn’t produce the live sound and flexibility that the G70 had.
The failure of the E80 (In sales terms) is one of the reasons that Roland pulled the plug on high end arrangers.

Bill, didn’t Roland have that strange marketing approach for the E series arrangers. They were only marketed through the organ division. Seems that the E50 and E60 would have done better through the regular music store division.
