and to this day brings a tear to my eye any time I hear it.

Years ago back in the 60's/70's with the Wedding band in New York we always brought a chair out during the affair and sat the oldest women in the audience down in the center of the dance floor and played and sang this beautiful song to her,.....
there wasn't a dry eye in the room.
