I realize that an accordion’s specific sound quality will probably matter most to people that have a vast knowledge of those particular instruments. To the lay person...tweaking an existing sample may be all that’s needed to satisfy the crowd. So, Donny does have a point.

I one recorded a jingle for an Indian Casino. The drums that I used to fill in the background were completely wrong according to the Tribal decision makers. So they sent 5 Native Indian dancers with their drums to the studio to satisfy their need for authentic drums. Needles to say...it was a disaster. They could not stay in tempo to save themselves.

Realizing this...I got the best takes I could get and sent them on their way. I then went to work sampling each of their drums and performed pretty much what my original track was, only using their drum samples. It was a little tricky...but they wrote the check.
