I understand how players/performers with real talent might abhor or avoid "song-styles"... but, as a songwriter with some pretty severe limitations... they are like a "Gift from the God's" for adding Intros, Middle Breaks and Outros... at least until a new song is ready to send to a "demo house" for a real musical treatment plus a vocalist with a great voice. No arguments here! I feel so lucky to now have a 970 (bought used from Don Mason) and you might be surprised how few listeners can differentiate between the 970 and a real band, musician or orchestra. (I know, most of you here have "ears" to die for! LOL!... and that is a gift!)

I'm only trying to get at least a few great songs created before the Grim Reaper shows up at my door... and would love to leave a lasting legacy for my Widow and Orphans.

John, this is a great topic... and I wish you the best of all things with your music.
