Had it done 5 years ago, got conned by the docs in to going with some newfangled, soft lenses that took care of astigmatism too. Well, they did the right eye first, which worked out quite well, then a week later did the left, which now has double vision. Turns out the failure rate is about 25 percent with these particular lenses and it cost me $4,000 over and above the medicare coverage and insurance coverage.
Now, all the colors became vivid, and with eye glasses I can see better than any time in my life. Images are very sharp and clear, and as soon as I remember what sex was, I'll let you know if it is better.

Unfortunately, I have now developed dry AMD, which eventually, will result in my going totally blind. This usually takes longer than I have to live, though. If it transitions to Wet AMD, then the disease progresses much more rapidly.
Gettin' old ain't fer wimps and sissies,

Gary
