Without getting deeply into it put more emphasis on a person's talents playing and singing, etc, versus what is the best keyboard, ...... let's face it they basically can all mostly do the same things and sound great if you know how,.. that you as a player have the advantage as a musician to make it sound amazing,... but, most think it's the keyboard that can do all the work for you... not true. Just look in the mirror and say to yourself do I really need this?.. and what the hell am I doing with all of this stuff?

So true. I met a older gentleman, who my wife tells was a well know rock star in Mexico from the 50’s-60’s. Anyways when I heard him perform at a little restaurant in Mexico City he was playing on an older entry level Yamaha arranger. But this guy could play and sing his ass off! Boleros, Cumbias, rock n roll, Great American Song Book standards. It didn’t matter that he was playing on an old entry-level keyboard or that he had a substandard PA system. His talent and skills were at such a high level, that you didn’t even notice the shortcomings of his equipment. Every time since meeting him, and I’m lusting over a new piece of gear, I think of this man. Of course we all have noticed this with both you and Don M. You guys have posted material using all sorts of different keyboards, and you know what? They all sound great behind your skillful hands and superd voices!
