Yes,
if the damage is just cosmetic and not too irritating to look at, and the seller was willing to let me hold back the money until I've tested the keyboard for about 14 days.
If no fault by that time, it's most likely as it should be technically.
If the 'nasty dent' is very visible and may cause problems if sell later, I would ask for less to pay.. also because elecronic warranty don't cover fall to the floor.
(That kind of damage is covered by the house and inventory insuranse if it happens to me.)
