Wow! Nice machine. Total overkill for your STATED purposes, but at least you should be future-proofed for quite some time. You could probably accomplish what you wanted to do (gleaned from previous posts) with a (Windows) machine in the 4-500.00 range (300.00 range from a reputable refurbisher). But hey, no substitute for quality if you can afford it. All your other equipment is TOTL, so why not your laptop (my son's that way, only TOTL, no substitues - good thing he didn't get to choose his parents ). Good luck with your new tool, it's a beauty.
