Thanks Bachus, yes it does make sense. The SEVEN's user manual makes the same point. Plus, I can actually 'feel' the difference between the modeled instruments and the sampled instruments on the SEVEN. But.....for the money, that Keyscape package seems like one heck of a bargain, especially if you already have the computer hardware to support it. I have two cheap 49key controllers, including the Alesis Vx49, but would like something larger (76 would be enough, don't really need 88). I have an old Roland A70 but would need a 5-pin to USB to use it and don't know if the velocity curve on such an old controller would be compatible (or if it can be adjusted - have to check the manual) - love the keybed on it though plus it can control up to four different midi devices. We'll see. Thanks.
