Omg!! That is unbelievable. Basically our medical is free, but you do get stuck on waiting lists for what they call elective surgery. We can get health insurance for private hospitals etc but you do end up slightly out of pocket going down that route.
The public were jumping up and down a few years back because the prime minister dared to mention a $7 co payment to go see a doctor. Mind you this was only for the ones who could afford it . That idea got trashed.
Maybe we should have the USA health system, then they’d really have something to complain about.

I’m still dumbfounded at the cost.
