Donny thank you, thank you. I lived through the accordion days. In my school accordion was the instrument of choice. We had accordion bands, duets and even a guitar accordion duo. (Brothers)

Three of my closest friends played accordions before the bought an arranger keyboard. The ex-accordion players had an advantage on a keyboard; they a great right hand. They also learned to play without looking at her hands. (Nice)

I remember walking into the Swan Club in Long Island --- the musician was singing and playing contemporary music. I was surprised to see him playing an accordion; it was midi to a module – Left hand – single bass notes – left hand chords – right hand whatever. He could combine the midi with the accordion acoustic sound. Play a bellow shake against sax solo. CLASS ACT!

Certain types of music sounds best when played with an accordion; Waltzes, polkas, classical, and ROMANTIC music. No it is no longer the chosen instrument; but it should not be forgotten.

My favorites were the French waltzes.
Thanks again Donny, John C.
