I recently sold some gear to allow me to use the G70 more often..

Set up on stage .. there is no other keyboard I prefer to play..

It lacks a media player, but my Android tablet covers that..

Everything else is top notch..


My first gig after a long absence with the G70... was the 30th of Dec..
A warm up for NYE..

I was in snowy freezing Wildwood .. like 6 degrees and windy..

Now the G70 weighs 46 pounds.... but in the Gator case and all pedals, mic, cords etc.... it is more like 86 pounds..

I pulled up to the stage door... locked... I had to carry the 86 pound thru snow to the other door.. another 100 feet away..

Dry surface and Rock n roller.. would have been no problem... but I was doing it manually..

Same situation at the end of the gig..

I did not enjoy the bull work.. Set up I was a happy camper..


Next day also in Wildwood and just as cold and windy.. I used my M-Audio Code61 with a laptop...
Again bull carry in a single trip about 200 feet away... but a lot lighter..

On stage was okay, but not the same..... I missed playing the G70..


What did I learn...
I want to play the G70..
I will always use the cart.. even for short distances..
Loading into my Buick will still be a pain.. but a necessity..

I can use the Code 61 and a laptop, for senior gigs... but I think I will lug the G70 instead..
