I've got one sitting in my storeroom collecting dust. No matter how I set it, it always (to my ears) sounded 'digital' (whatever 'digital' is----not warm?). Maybe I'm just used to the analog sound - I've got an old (several, in fact) 16ch Samson LINE mixer that sounds better to ME. I tried it with various combinations of powered speakers and unpowered speaker/power amps and the only combination that sounded decent (to me) was a 1000w class D amp and a pair of 20 yr old Cerwin Vega (2 way) 12's. Bass was a little 'boomy' but was easily correctable with eq. I keep it as a reminder of all the 'unnecessary' things I've purchased on MF's SDOTD. BTW, the last 'stupid' thing I bought there was a Tascam 32SD mixer/recorder. Also collecting dust (never recorded anything with it). Oh well.
