Don your song is precious, thank you.
I am paraphrasing so that religion is kept out of the subject while offering some wisdom.

“Grant the ability to know what I can change and what I cannot change so that I can be reasonably happy”.

Aging can be a sad place, but that is a choice. Will my health be going downhill? Yes. How about my eyes? Yes, them to. So what’s to be happy about?
S
o a man was sitting on a log with a nagging miserable spirit on his left and a happy smiling spirit on his right. When they asked how does he know which spirit will grow; take over. He answered, “It depends on which one I feed”.

Don we are aging and our voices are not what they were – but just listening to your recording made me smile. Ya still got it Don. You are also still involved in music, what is a gift.

When I think of the days I played and the people out there got excited, and my voice led the excitement I say to myself that we were only four musicians, there were hundreds out there who will never know what I felt being out front. What a gift – and that’s the theme of my focus. I’m one lucky guy.

Sorry I got carried away again, John C.
