It would appear to me that despite the Yamaha Tyros 5 being three years old that it actually has more advanced and additional features in both MIDI Song and Audio Record mode.
PA4X Backing Sequence (Quick Record), Step Backing Sequence, 16 Track MIDI Sequencer, and Audio Recording are just other names for the same features on the Tyros 5. Step Recording, Recording Chords, Re-Recording a Specific Section—Punch In/Out (Realtime Recording), Editing Channel Events of Existing Song Data,

the above functions were available on my pa800 , 6 to 7 years ago. Possibly goes back further.
MP3 recording, can 't comment on, never tried it.
The clip didn't into all the audio functions available on the pa4x .
