Definately a miss on my Tyros 5, its a feature i use reularly, i used to set up my Ipad, where i used an external sequencer to record some chords.. and then replay them as input for the T5..
These days i use the sequencer of the Kronos... but this forces me to play in sequencer mode instead of combi mode...
This feature is definately a must, not only for pro players, but also for most home players... because its also very handy when excersising some new songs (piano)

home use only of course, I used to have Band in a Box play the chords for my old PSR 1500 or the pa800 .
Type the chords into biab, keyboard would follow the chords. Good way of practicing melody, plus ensemble mode worked.
What was even more interesting was muting one of the keyboard style tracks and have biab audio loop play instead ie mute keyboard drums and use biab audio loop drums or audio guitar loop instead of the keyboard guitar track. Made the little old PSR sound quite good. Haha
