yes, unfortunately I don't think korgs work that way.

I actually play my styles that way too, start with v1 and work my way up.

In most instances I try to set my sts up with it's matching variation, even if I have to duplicate the style itself 2 of 3 times.

While I was playing around yesterday, with songbook, I did find a way of copying sts3 to vari 1.
Compromise was I ended up with sts 3 on vari 1 and vari 3, , my style started playing on vari 1 or I could have saved it to start on the other variations too.

So as I played thru.
V1 sts3 , v2 sts2, v3 sts3 , v4 sts 4.

My original style was still left in tact, only songbook was affected.
