On the 'dress topic', I saw the Ron Carter trio at the Newport Jazz Festival a couple of years ago and even in the heat of August they were dressed in light colored slacks, royal blue blazer, shirt and tie ... CLASS all the way ... and then you have people like Jamie Cullum wearing a tee shirt and black jeans or whatever, dancing on the grand piano and kicking the keys with his bare feet ...
ALL the 'older' greats I have seen there: Brubeck, Mulligan, etc. etc., all dressed VERY well ...
