It's pretty much new year here every day of the year. I mean, hardly a day goes by when someone isn't having a party in his yard. Music blasts till the wee hours. Strangely enough, I manage to sleep through it. Usually it's several parties going on in the neighborhood. Unfortunately -rather fortunately- I am not into parties and don't drink beer (yuck), so the total opposite of the Lao people.
