I feel like I have friends here and I can share this really personal burden I have.
She's been slipping out on me for many years. Each time she does it, I know it instantly. It's like someone stuck a fillet knife in me.
After a week or two the pain diminishes and I sort of get back to normal, but the hurt really never goes away.
I've had her to doctors, tried various medications, etc. . . . but none of this really helps in the long run.
The only thing I've found that makes much difference is going out into the back yard and hanging her from a limb for a few minutes. This seems to straighten her up some and keep her in line, at least for a while.
I suppose some day she may quit me completely and leave me totally helpless.
Until then I'll continue to put on a brave face, pop some pills now and then, maybe take a few drinks in the evening to relax.
Only time I really get it off my mind is when I'm playing music.
You do know I'm talking about my bad back; my wife is wonderful.
