A while back there was a thread on this type of stand. At that time I was using a Kn7000 and without a doubt if I became careless and placed pressure on either end the keyboard became unstable. Mark had a good point – someone in front of you trying to tell you something would be a perfect example. It is possible that the newer stands have improved.

Having said all of that feel all the stands will do the job, it’s just a matter of how careful you want to be. I have used my Ultimate stand for many years, but I also have an X type of stand. (Which I prefer) Easy to carry, it’s one piece, it makes pedal placement difficult, and there is no center poll to block views.
