Just go to Vancouver or Victoria, B.C., to avoid severe snow and freezing temperatures. I took this picture in Tsawwassen, B.C. Quite a number of palm trees growing there in the soil (not in plant pots), due to the protection of the Coast Mountains. The disadvantage is lots of rain, of course.
