Hi Everyone,

I'm delighted to tell you that, following discussions with Fred Mellink and Gert-Jan de Vos, the creators of KN-SDExplorer, program licenses for the original version will be available again from 25th September 2014. New web pages will be launched around that date with detailed support and video tutorials to follow shortly after that.

We're planning to release a book with detailed instructions, tips and hints later in the year and I might extend the book to include other articles and tutorials (if there is enough interest from the community).

In October we'll commence work on a new release of KN-SDExplorer with new features, including support for more Technics keyboards (this might involve a change of name since we are planning to support floppy disk transfer as well as SD Cards).

Most important, if you have any feature suggestions please let me know.

For those of you who are familiar with HEX editing we'll be grateful for any HEX code information you have about any of the instruments, or indeed any file-format information that you are able to share. The guys have quite a lot of HEX info about the KN7000 and KN2600 and I've been gathering more information about other Technics keyboards from around the Internet (and from archives of this forum), great info and Synth Zone is an amazing resource as ever, thank you Nigel!

As you will appreciate, we are several months away from a new version and with a host of new features planned there is a lot of work to do but I wanted to write to all of you 'core fans' and let you know about this exciting new development. Your support and feedback will be very important to us.

Best wishes,
Mike
