It was disappointing that I couldn't meet up with Chas in person on my trip this week to Atlanta. My time was tight, and he had a home repair scheduled which prevented getting together for lunch on my way out of town.
We did talk three times or so, and I think I've talked him into helping with a score for another film we'll make down there early next year.
I'll be able to send him a rough, and we can complete on one of the trips I have to schedule (about every 90 days) for the near future.
It may be age, but I get so much more from a direct conversation with a friend than electronic communications.
Chas is articulate, intelligent, courteous and has a wonderful vibe to his voice that is a joy to hear. Reminds me of Billy Extiene (SP?); looks more like Billy De Williams (LOL)! A little taller, though.
I'm cranked that I'll have a chance to visit on a regular basis, and we'll be able to complete a score that will be used in a film about a line of Italian staircases (Fontanot-ARKE) that will be used around the world.
Not much pressure to complete the task, but a chance to visit one of my hands down favorite folks...ever, and work together.
Plus, he's hands down, one of the best players here.
It was well deserved that he was recently named several times as one of the contributors of the best material by members.
See you soon, Chas.
