Larry, great to hear from you. How have ya been? Thanks for your very bright & enlightened e-ink suggestion. Kindles don't include VGA input so that won't work for me but in the meantime I think I've discovered (using google search) an e-ink portable display monitor which supports VGA signal input. It's unique in that it's got a 'dual layer' display so that indoors you can set it to typical LCD back lit color display and outdoors you can switch it to monochrome e-ink display which as you said is the best option for readability outdoors in the sun. Pixel-Qi is the screen technology manufacturer and SolComputer one of the companies that includes Pixel Q's dual backlit & e-ink screens in their monitors. The monitor I'm interested in checking out is their Sol-Vision 10" $449 as it supports VGA input and suitable both indoors & outdoor full sun viewing. Also compatible as a outdoor bright sun viewable display monitor for iPads and laptops too. I look forward to learning more as this looks like something that will work great for viewing my Tyros 5's screen for navigating and viewing lyrics in full sun outdoors yet work equally well for indoor (color) display as well. Will keep you posted. Thanks again for steering me to e-ink providing maximum outdoor viewability. - Scott
