I've never had much interest in Workstations, even those equipped with arpeggiators, ever since arrangers grew up and added sequencing and editable (and more realistic) styles.
Even the factory sound-sets on an arranger have nothing to be ashamed of when compared to a workstation, and in some cases, like Yamaha's SA/SA2 and Korg's DNC, they are every bit as expressive if not more.
Plus, the arranger lets me play my music in "real time", as opposed to multi-tracking necessary on a workstation.
The bottom line...too much "work" in the Workstation for me, when I can easily put down a great demo in a fraction of the time with my Tyros4.
