My advice is do what makes you happy. You only live once. If buying new gear is within your means and gives you pleasure ... then do it. Make yourself happy and don't feel guilty about it. Especially when the items you are interested in are quite inexpensive. Hey you can always sell them off in the future if you feel the need to and reclaim some of the money you spent. Sounds like cheap entertainment to me.
