Dan, most of what Rosetree says is true....however, the better buy is the Prelude (Latin)...with version 2 update..it adds features not possible on the GW8...like lyric read on SMF's loaded in the internal flash...I have owned both...Prelude is my choice, and a decent board...

It has decent editing, has the extra sounds from SRX boards, over 1,500 sounds, can save another 100 user styles in flash memory as well as 200 SMF's...All edits easily saved..

The Player works great, wave, MP3 and SMF... You need to use the Roland software to prepare playlist...and are limited to 999 files (songs) to a thumbdrive...4 g drives work great for this...

Speakers at 11 watts a side are decent too..
