I always think American Thanksgiving is too close to Christmas. I couldn't stomach two load-ups of turkey in the space of one month. Come to that, I don't even like turkey, anyway.
You have to get with an Italian family for Christmas - antipasti, chicken soup, any or all of the following pasta: Lasagna, Ravioli, Manicotti , bone in rib roast/crown pork roast/racks of lamb AND a ham, of course with ALL the fixings ... and that's not to mention DESSERT !!!
Loved every minute of it, too.
