It's not always fun to be on the "bleeding edge" when owning a brand-new instrument. Not all keyboards with their version 1.0 software are bug-free. Sometimes the manufacturer will release instruments to get some sales and then continue to fix the problems. With keyboards that have upgradeable software, you can buy a slightly used instrument that works better than it did new. However, you always take the chance on a used instrument that something terrible was done to it that is unseen and unknowable until it's too late.
