I had a 1980 Caddy coupe ... had about 185,000 miles on it when I gave it to our daughter ... she was putting on about 75 miles a day for work so the gas was killing her pocketbook ... she traded it in for a Toyota - of all things - it had 204,000 miles on it ... I used to see it being driven by an 'older' woman after that ... I knew it was the same car by the college sticker on the rear window and the USA medallion on the front grill ...
When all the fuss was being made about the "better" Japanese cars, we had 4 GM cars in the family with over 600,000 total miles ...
