For the first time in decades I will not be performing on Christmas Day, and I will not spend Christmas Eve with my family. I seriously considered flying home for Christmas and surprising my wife and family, but not only was it cost prohibitive, I would have been worrying about all my music gear stored aboard the boat.

Today, the temperature at Marathon Key, Florida is expected to rise to 72 degrees, which is just fine for this old man. At home, there is a winter weather warning in the western part of the state, freezing rain and snow is predicted west of Frederick, Maryland, while the rest of the state will just get rain.
