While we all have different needs regarding ALL our gear, I appreciate the fact that there is one less piece of 'heavier' gear to carry using powered speakers ... I most often use a small mixer

which I can keep pretty close to me for any necessary changes ... the VH and kb plug into the mixer into the speakers ... but on smaller gigs I can take one speaker and jack the VH and kb directly into the speaker plugs ...
