I got an iPad on the first day of it's release in 2010. It has been an invaluable tool for the last 2 plus years, not only for music related apps, but just about any other interest including photography, on line magazines, newspapers. The list goes on and on. Sure iPads more expensive than knock offs, but they have thousands of apps, more than any of us can use in a life time. Next week the rumor mill has Apple releasing a smaller iPad with a 7 inch screen. You may want to wait until October 10th to see what they announce. Based on Apple's history we probably won't see a release of another 10 inch iPad until Spring 2013. You can save $100 and get the iPad2 for $399. If I were in the market for an iPad I'd get the current model called the "New iPad". It's so called retina display is incredible.
